Some French in the pre-prints done by myself, and some (and corrections) done by THLady Annora Reyner<\/p>\n<p><b>Award of Arms:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For 52 years the fields have heard the clash of steel and seen the glory of arms. For 52 years, music has played and the balls have been grand. For 52 years the Laurel Kingdoms have been tended by faithful servants, and the realms enriched.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">____________ has joined that lineage, taken the first steps into the glory and beauty of Calontir. So now do Le Roi Damien, the Glory of Calontir, and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Reine Issabell, the Falcon\u2019s Beauty, mark this gentle with the first honor of the Society. The Cross King, Damien, has held the weight of responsibility on his broad shoulders. They see in ___________ a fellow burden bearer, a light of the Kingdom, and reward them accordingly. Their banner has flown in glory and their honor is never impeached. Good King Damien grew from an acorn into a mighty oak by the teachings of Hirsch. Miecznik was a court appointed position meaning \u2018Sword Bearer\u2019, which seems to work here. Szlachta were the general class of Polish nobility in the Commonwealth, below a Voivode but above others. The Sejm Wainy was the general Sejm (Parliament) of the Commonwealth, in which the nobility sat. A zloty is the Commonwealth standard gold coin, equivalent to a ducat or florin.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This one was fun because most of the documents are preserved in Russian, after the Russians invaded. So I had to cobble together a passable English translation of a Russian translation of Polish documents.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scroll text for Duke Damien&#8217;s Duchy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We, Ashir, by grace King of Calontir, Defender of the Heartland, Heir to the seat of Ternon and Chepe; and Ashland, by right worth Queen of the same, Guardian of the Heart of the Oak, Heir to the seat of Ghleanna and Arwyn, send greetings to their right loyal and most noble subject.<\/p>\n<p>Damien MacGavin, by freehold Count, bearer of the Cross of Calontir, of the line of Dukes and heir to great names, you have preserved the honor of Our lands and ensured that evil deeds not remain unpunished.
