Damien II and Issabell II, by divine clemency emperor and\nempress of Calontir, the king and queen of the Heartland, is writing to inform\nall that while we were holding court at Deodar on Martinstag, our faithful and\nbeloved council of the order of the Pelican were presented the following\nquestion for an official decision: If\nthere is one teacher amongst you whose knowledge exists of both heraldic and\nmathematical, who teaches and serves all who shall come to her, should she be\nbrought into your ranks as a member of the order? And all who were present declared that one\nBrigida von M\u00fcnchen, scholastica of the College of Heralds, should have this\nrank and be clothed in the estate of her station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, we strictly command all princes, temporal and\ncelestial, counts, chiefs, nobles, and all our other faithful subjects to whom\nthis letter may come, under threat of the loss of imperial favour, to regard,\nhold, and treat you as such (that is, as a Pelican of the Society), in all\nplaces; and out of reverence for the holy empire to admit you to all the\nrights, privileges, etc., to which nobles are accustomed to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To all present and to come\nwho these present letters shall see or hear, it is the will of Xerxis II and BelAnna\nII, by\ndivine clemency King and Queen of these Falcon lands of Calontir, the following decree is\nordained. Equity wills and right ordains\nthat virtuous people of noble prowess in the Arts and Sciences known to Us and\nto Our people be by their merits and renown rewarded and shall in all places\nhave great honour perpetually before others, shining by certain signs and\ndemonstrations of honour and courtoisie. \nOur faithful and beloved council of the order of the\nLaurel were presented the following question in Our court for an official\ndecision: If there is one teacher\namongst Our people whose invaluable knowledge exists of costuming, possesses a\nskilled hand at calligraphy and illumination, who teaches and mentors all who\nshall come to her, has\ncomported herself honourably, and by her example others again will cause\nthemselves perseveringly to use their days in deeds of craft and skill of arte\nand virtuous works to gain the renown of that ancient courtoisie, should she be brought\ninto your ranks as a member of the order? \nAnd all who were present declared in one voice Helena Soranzo of Wyvern Cliffe, should have this\nrank and be clothed in the estate of her station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
