The following are scroll texts written by The Honorable Lord Gotfrid von Schwaben, for the occasion of Brigida von Munchen’s Pelican and Helena Soranzo’s Laurel. They are provided in both English and German.

Brigida von Munchen
English Text:
Damien II and Issabell II, by divine clemency emperor and empress of Calontir, the king and queen of the Heartland, is writing to inform all that while we were holding court at Deodar on Martinstag, our faithful and beloved council of the order of the Pelican were presented the following question for an official decision: If there is one teacher amongst you whose knowledge exists of both heraldic and mathematical, who teaches and serves all who shall come to her, should she be brought into your ranks as a member of the order? And all who were present declared that one Brigida von München, scholastica of the College of Heralds, should have this rank and be clothed in the estate of her station.
Therefore, we strictly command all princes, temporal and celestial, counts, chiefs, nobles, and all our other faithful subjects to whom this letter may come, under threat of the loss of imperial favour, to regard, hold, and treat you as such (that is, as a Pelican of the Society), in all places; and out of reverence for the holy empire to admit you to all the rights, privileges, etc., to which nobles are accustomed to enjoy.

Damien II und Issabell II, durch göttliche Gnade Kaiser und Kaiserin Calontirs, König und Königin im Herzen Imperiums, schreiben alle zu informieren, daß, während wir halten Gericht in Deodar auf Martinstag, unsere treuen und geliebten Rat der Ordnung des Pelikan wurde folgende Frage für eine offizielle Entscheidung vorgelegt: Wenn es eine Lehrmeisterin unter euch gibt, dessen Wissen sowohl von Heraldik als auch von Mathematik existiert, wer lehrt und dient allen, die zu ihr kommen sollen, soll sie in deine Reihen als Mitglied der Ordnung gebracht werden? Und alle, die anwesend waren, erklärten, daß man Brigida von München, Geisteswissenschaftlerin des Reichsheroldenkollegium, sollte diesen Rang haben und in dem Nachlass ihrer Station bekleidet werden.
Deshalb befehlen wir ausschließlich alle Fürsten, Zeit- und Himmlischen, Grafen, Häuptlinge, Adeligen und alle unsere anderen treuen friedlichen Bürger, denen dieser Brief unter androhen von des Verlustes der kaiserlichen Gunst kommen kann, um sie als solche zu betrachten, zu halten und zu behandeln (das heißt, als Pelikan der Gesellschaft), an allen Orten; und aus Ehrfurcht vor dem Heiligen Reich, euch alle Rechte, Privilegien usw. zuzugeben, denen die Adligen gewohnt sind, zu genießen.

To all present and to come who these present letters shall see or hear, it is the will of Xerxis II and BelAnna II, by divine clemency King and Queen of these Falcon lands of Calontir, the following decree is ordained. Equity wills and right ordains that virtuous people of noble prowess in the Arts and Sciences known to Us and to Our people be by their merits and renown rewarded and shall in all places have great honour perpetually before others, shining by certain signs and demonstrations of honour and courtoisie. Our faithful and beloved council of the order of the Laurel were presented the following question in Our court for an official decision: If there is one teacher amongst Our people whose invaluable knowledge exists of costuming, possesses a skilled hand at calligraphy and illumination, who teaches and mentors all who shall come to her, has comported herself honourably, and by her example others again will cause themselves perseveringly to use their days in deeds of craft and skill of arte and virtuous works to gain the renown of that ancient courtoisie, should she be brought into your ranks as a member of the order? And all who were present declared in one voice Helena Soranzo of Wyvern Cliffe, should have this rank and be clothed in the estate of her station.
Therefore, we strictly command all Princes, temporal and celestial, Dukes, Counts, Chiefs, Nobles, and all our other faithful subjects to whom this letter may come, under threat of the loss of imperial favour, to regard, hold, and treat her as a Mistress of the Laurel within the Society in all places. Furthermore, we bestow full Guild rights regarding proprietorship and administration of her own establishment; shall be provided with 145 grams1 of 24 karat gold leaf for gilding, any brushes or pigments necessary to complete scribal work at the bequest of the crown, and 10 bolts of linen to cloth herself as befits her new station.

Für alle Anwesenden, die diese Briefe sehen oder hören sollen, ist es der Wille von Xerxis II und BelAnna II, durch göttliche Gnade, König und Königin dieser Falkenländer Calontirs, das folgende Dekret wird ordiniert. Gerechtigkeit willt und Recht bestimmt, dass tugendhafte Menschen von edlem Können in den Künsten und Wissenschaften, die Wir und unser Volk kennen, durch ihre Verdienste und ihren Fähigkeiten belohnt werden und an allen Orten vor allen andern Orten eine große Ehre haben werden, die durch Veranschaulichung besondere Zeichen und Höflichkeit Ehrungen hervorgehoben werden. Unsere treuen und geliebten Rat der Ordnung des Lorbeerkranz wurde folgende Frage für eine offizielle Entscheidung vorgelegt: Wenn es einen Lehrmeisterin unter unsere Volk gibt, dessen unschätzbares Wissen aus Kostümen besteht, über eine geschickte Hand bei der Kalligrafie und Buchmalerei verfügt, der alle lehrt und betreut, die zu ihr kommen werden, sich ehrenvoll erzogen hat und durch ihr Beispiel andere veranlassen wird, ihren Lehrer beharrlich einzusetzen Tage in Taten des Handwerks und des Könnens von künstlerischen und tugendhaften Werken, um den Ruf dieser uralten Höflichkeit zu erlangen, soll sie in deine Reihen als Mitglied der Ordnung gebracht werden? Und alle, die anwesend waren, erklärten, daß man Helena Soranzo zuWyvern Cliffe, sollte diesen Rang haben und in dem Nachlass ihrer Station bekleidet werden.

Zur Vergoldung müssen 145 Gramm 24-karätiges Blattgold sowie alle für die Durchführung der Schreibarbeiten, erforderlichen Bürsten oder Pigmente zur Verfügung gestellt werden, und 10 Leinenbolzen um sich zu kleiden, wie es sich für ihre neue Station gehört.
